Students study how dogs learn and what approach is best to take to set your dog up for success weather starting from puppy, helping with teenage shenanigans, or working with an older recue dog.
Students wanting to be a Certified Behaviour Consultant are required to complete this course first.

Graduates who earn their DCBC (Dogma Certified Behaviour Consultant) designation have gone on to be recruited by many large dog training schools or have created their own successful dog training businesses across Canada. This program provides the most comprehensive skills to ensure trainers have the knowledge, confidence and experience to succeed as a dog trainer and behaviour consultant. The DCBC program covers complex behaviour concerns such as fear, reactivity, separation concerns and aggression.

In order to apply to take the certification exam, candidates are required to have minimum 300 hours dog training experience in the past 3 years and take an exam that covers
Applied Learning Theory,
Instructional and Teaching Skills,
Canine Behavior, Ethology,
Professional Skills, Ethics, and Laws & Regulations
Certificate holders are required to
keep current with education through continuing education credits or recertification every 3 years.
