When it comes to an animal’s learning and behavior, there’s no such thing as a guaranteed training result. No one can predict a dog’s (or anyone’s) behavior without fail. Because of this, training results can’t be guaranteed—but I do guarantee to set you and your dog up for success. I’ll provide the support you need throughout the training process to bring out the best in your furry friend.
Please reach us at trainingupdogs@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We use up to date, science backed reward & reinforcement techniques. No prong, no shock, no slip lead or aversive methods.(We can help transition from these as well).
The number of sessions needed varies by dog, goals, and progress. Your commitment to your dog's training will benefit your dog progress. There will be homework, but don't worry! It can be as little as 5 to 10 min 1-2 times a day.
Multiple sessions are crucial for reinforcing learning, tracking progress and ensuring consistent, effective training and behavior change.
To maximize success, stay consistent, follow trainer’s guidance, be patient, practice regularly, use positive reinforcement, and set clear goals.
Private Coaching I will work with both you and your dog through learning new skills, while in The Fast Track Program I work with your dog one-on-one, and then transfer your dogs new skills to you.
Dogs excel with consistency and repetition. Training sessions are most effective 2 to 3 times per week, with a minimum of once a week. Training sessions are 60 minutes each. The timeframe your dog needs to build the skills you are looking for depends on the skills themselves.
Yes, you can be present for the Fast Track sessions if desired. Observing can help you understand techniques and reinforce learning, but I kindly ask that you save your questions until the end of the session.
If you have multiple dogs, I can tailor training plans for each one, address group dynamics, and offer package options.
